..and let's 2020 begins!

..and let's 2020 begins!

[BE CAREFUL ON READING: MY ENGLISH IS NOT PERFECT :-)]

In a few hours, not only a year will end, a new decade will begin.

I remember when, 10 years ago, I went through this moment running for about 30 km. A unique, almost mystical sensation, immersed in the darkness and silence of the night.

How many things have happened in these 10 years, how many changes!

Life is mutation, it is change, we must know how to welcome it. The most common mistake you make is to think that life is always the same and, basically, you are afraid to change because the boring routine, after all, gives us security.

I notice that many people love to remain locked in their anxieties, their worries, their fears, because they basically know them and feel safe. They know that, in any case, in there, in that sort of darkness, everything is known.

This is the biggest lie we can tell ourselves!

Life can repeat itself through daily patterns, this is inevitable, man is habitual. What we need to realize is that we are different every day and often don't accept to see things from a different perspective.

There are different ways to face a day, it is up to us how we want to do it.

Of course, there will be easy days and difficult days, but what matters is to stay focused on the present, on what is happening now. Who cares about tomorrow or yesterday! Yesterday has passed, tomorrow will be seen.

We can make plans for the future, have plans, ambitions, but we must not attach ourselves to them in a morbid way, we must free ourselves from attachment. Only in this way can we be ready to face the trials that life will face us.

Very often - and I also speak for myself - we let ourselves be beaten down by a trifle, simply because, in our heads, we stuck to the expectation of a result. This is wrong!

They are things said and repeated, but, after all, we cannot repeat them enough.

We must learn to stop, especially when we are in a stalemate, take a deep breath and try to look at things from another perspective. It is like when you look at a beautiful panorama, if there is an obstacle in front of our eyes that prevents its view, what do we do? Do we move or continue to look at the obstacle? The same goes for life.

The good or bad things that happen to us, the roads we walk, have led us to be what we are now. Are we happy about it? Well, then all the bad was not so bad. Are we not? So maybe we have to review something ...

Midnight will come, toast to a new beginning, good intentions will be made.

Let's stop doing them! Let's just try to live better, day after day, this new year!

We have one life. We have no other opportunities. We try to do the best we can in any situation. Let's stop blaming others for our suffering. Let's stop complaining. Let's stop relying on false prophets, gurus of the moment or strong people (of politics). Let's go back to thinking for ourselves! Nobody can decide what is best for us, we are the captains of our ship.

In this last year, I have noticed a crescendo of intolerance, hatred, intolerance, ignorance, almost a reflection of the dissatisfaction that dwells in the soul of many people.

I hope that in 2020 the world will find a little humanity, humility and conscience and that people will begin to see as well as to look, to feel as well as to listen, to understand that, in the end, we are all part of one same design and we all step on the same land.

None of us can change the world, but each of us can, with his own example (positive of course), change the world around him.

I thank the people who, by crossing my path, have contributed in recent years to change my point of view on things and have helped me grow.

Happy 2020!
