Overview

Yoga has been a life changing journey for me. I had suffered with hip and back pain and after researching what I could do to help myself, I booked a class with a yoga teacher for some one to one yoga. I was so enthused by the results, that I began attending regular classes and exploring all types of yoga. After experiencing how yoga helped my body and mind, I took the next step and became a teacher because I wanted to share this experience with others. Yoga is the way I put myself back together, as being a keen windsurfer I often stretch my body to the limits. 

Like many of my students who are keen sportspeople and runners, yoga offers them a way to not just stretch out all those aches and pains but also to prepare mentally. I trained with Brian Cooper PhD and the Ashtanga training we undertook was demanding but also gave me an excellent background in understanding the body and what yoga can do. Brian's 'Art of Adjusting' and his teaching of how to assist the student to gain maximum benefit from the yoga pose, and its link to Thai Yoga massage led me to study this form of yoga therapy and I  trained with Kira Balaskas in London. 

My yoga now extends to providing yoga therapy to my students and assisting them with gaining freer movement, and working energetically with what they may be holding in their body that's ready to be released. My approach is very suited to those looking for one-to-one yoga therapy or looking for a small group class where you can receive individual attention.
