Over the last 20 years I've tried some styles of yoga, pilates and other forms of exercise, as well as manual therapy, as a way to try and treat my back problems.  But my back became stiffer, less responsive and more reactive. Then I stumbled across Forrest Yoga and I've never looked back. Has it cured my problems? No, but it is something that met me where I was, rather than rejecting me for not being able to move. The more I work with it and adapt the more I can do, and that's exactly the opposite of a vicious circle! I'm more able to deal with it physically and mentally, and am now back to some of the activities I thought I wouldn't manage again. 

One of the Forrest Yoga sayings is "Your injury is your gift", and it took me a while to understand that. But, having been through it myself I realise I have a lot to offer those who started where I was - stiff, immobile and in chronic pain.
