Travel
When flying to Sardinia you can arrange flights to two airports.
Cagliari:
2 Hours drive to the hotel
Private taxi cost: 200euro each way
Olbia:
2h 15m drive to the hotel
Private taxi cost: 220euro each way
For those travelling on our recommended flights or any that coincide we will be providing a subsidised group transfer for £19 each way. Once you’ve booked the trip we will ask you to complete a short ‘yoga profile form’ where you can let us know what transfer options you would like.

Your driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall. Look out for the destination yoga / Galanias Hotel sign. If you have any problems finding the driver, please call the hotel directly as they will have direct contact with them on 00 39 782 29 972
If your flight is considerably delayed and you miss the transfer, you will need to get a taxi to the hotel. In this case we will refund any transfer fee you have paid to us.
Location
Galanias is a family run, boutique hotel on the East coast of Sardinia. Situated on a hill and overlooking the beautiful beach of La Torre di Barì, the hotel is in a quiet and remote part of the island, offering an authentic Sardinian experience.

Please note, this is a hotel and there will be other guests staying at the hotel during the retreat, although classes will be exclusive to the destination yoga group.
Food
Included within the retreat price is a delicious and plentiful breakfast buffet and dinner with table service. The cuisine is traditional Sardinian inspired dishes with vegetarian, meat and fish options. It is also possible to purchase soft drinks and alcohol at the hotel to be paid for upon check out. After booking, you can let us know any dietary requirements through your yoga profile form.
There is the option to buy lunch at the hotel or there are several cafes to choose from along the beach. Please note water will be provided during scheduled meals and during the yoga sessions only. Additional drinks can be purchased from the restaurant.
Massages
If you would like to book a massage over the course of the week then we would recommend booking this in advance by contacting the hotel reservations department on info@galaniashotel.it The hotel can offer the following massages and they are all around 65 euros per treatment:

Head, face and neck massage
Hot stone massage
Foot reflexology
Thai stretching massage
Please note that the therapist is organised through Galanias and not destination yoga.
What to bring
For the daily yoga and other activities you should bring:
• loose comfortable clothing for yoga
• a pair of trainers if you would like to go walking/hiking
• fleece/ long-sleeved sports top for morning yoga
• hat (large brimmed hat or a cap)
• a suitable sun block cream
• toiletries- please note there is only hand soap in the rooms
For the evenings:
• comfortable clothing – evenings are very relaxed and casual
• a warm top/jumper as temperatures can be lower in the mornings and evenings
• mosquito repellent
Also don’t forget:
• swimming costume
• sunglasses
• reading material
Room Amenities
All rooms have private entrance, air conditioning, minibar, bathroom with shower, hair dryer, flat screen TV, safe. Guests will have access to one pool towel per week- extra changes are available for a small fee payable directly at reception.
A laundry service is available on site for an additional charge. If you are bringing any electrical equipment, the adaptor plug required is the European 2-pin.
Telephones and internet
Phone signal depends on your service provider. There is wifi available throughout the venue.

In advance of your trip, you can get a better idea of the weather by checking the following website and searching for Bari Sardo.
Passport
If you hold a full passport from the UK, Ireland, and other EU countries, the US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, you require no visa to enter Italy.
Money and currency
All of your yoga, accommodation and breakfast &dinner are included in the cost, and so you will only need money (Euro) for additional food and beverages, massage, local trips and private transfers. Please note water will be provided during scheduled meals and during yoga sessions only. The hotel accepts all cards.
Insurance
Please ensure that you have adequate travel insurance to cover your trip. It is also essential that you provide us with the name of your insurance company and a 24 hour emergency insurance contact number.
We also recommend that you get a European Health Insurance Card which allows you to access state-provided healthcare in all European Areas (EEA) countries at a reduced cost or sometimes free of charge. Applying for the card is free (and only takes 2 minutes) and it is valid for up to 5 years. Presenting the card entitles you to any treatment that may become necessary during your holiday. This card is NOT an alternative to travel insurance, however – it is important to have both a European Health Insurance Card and a valid travel insurance policy.
