Yoga Teacher Mentoring
Whether yoga is your side hustle or you rely on it to pay the mortgage, these first five years are a challenge! You’re finding your voice, growing in confidence and saying YES to every opportunity. I know, I did exactly the same thing. I travelled a 90 minute round trip to teach an hours class for £25, on a Sunday morning no less, simply because I loved the class. It wasn’t long before I was teaching 8 classes, 10 privates and 2 schools a week and I was TIRED!! Just because you love doing something doesn’t mean it’s going to stay that way if the wind changes a little, we need to adapt and constantly make plans for how we want to live our best lives. If you’re ready to focus on your future plans and discover where this dream job is going to take YOU I’m here to take you on the ride!
Teaching yoga is a very isolating job so we need to build around us a group of teachers who can share their experiences and support each others wins. Wouldn’t it help to know that somebody else has been through what you’re dealing with at the moment? Maybe it’s a problem student, maybe it’s a club that won’t pay, maybe it’s simply a case of burnout! A place where you can be open and honest is crucial to your own development and confidence…
What does mentoring involve?
Confidence
Tackling confidence and self doubt in the yoga industry is key to finding your voice as a teacher. Let’s banish that imposter syndrome and get you on the road to success!
Business
Let’s talk money. Yes, I know saying yes to everything as a brand new teacher felt like totally the right thing to do but are you adding value to your life or just driving from studio to studio to make ends meet?
Independence
How to be independent in a world full of yoga studios ready to employ the cheapest person out there? Make yourself irreplaceable by offering a service that is purely YOU! Find your niche and hone it.
We’ve all taken a bit of a hit during the pandemic but there have been some amazing opportunities for growth. I’m sure, like many yoga teachers, you’re feeling the need to adapt, become more resilient, maybe you’ve enjoyed the break and things need to change going forward.

About Michelle
In all honesty I never set out to be a yoga teacher, let alone own studios, train teachers and run courses.
Deep down I knew I had a strength, but my goal was to achieve a position as a senior lecturer in Health Science at any university that would have me by the time I’d turned 30. I completed my degree at 23, I began a PhD the following year and I was all set to hand in my research and follow my academic path. Life had other plans…
Alongside all of my jobs yoga was a constant, I taught it as a hobby, I had the odd private client but I never thought “that’s my career sorted”!
Turns out it was… fast forward 15 years and I’m running a super successful yoga studio, I’m currently delivering my fifth 200 Hour Vinyasa Teacher Training and launching CPD courses and mentoring for newer teachers.
I am an IYN Yoga Elder and a Yoga Alliance Senior Teacher, Teacher Trainer and Coach.
