Overview

Hi there, and a very warm welcome to my teacher profile page!

My name is Grace. I am based in Dublin, Ireland, but have been teaching online since 2020, as well as travelling to run workshops and teacher trainings.

With a background in education, I have a particular interest in the ongoing mentoring and support of newly qualified teachers, an area that is incredibly under-resourced in the yoga education world at large.

My main practices are Yin and Hatha. I was introduced to yoga with Bikram Yoga in 2005. These days I am more in the yin and yoga therapy  world where I facilitate functional yin and yang teacher trainings. Currently I offer a 100-hour Art of Yin training, a 100-hour Art of Yang training, and a 200-hour Yoga as Therapy (both modules combined).

My Yoga as Therapy 200hour training is to date a groundbreaking curriculum - it is the first 200hour training which focuses equally on yin and yang styles of yoga, with functional, Paul Grilley foundations and a person-centred, therapeutic lens. This training is destined for yoga practitioners who are craving a more inclusive way to practise and share their yoga, and who resonate deeply with yoga as therapy.

I am inspired by great teaching, great teachings, and great teachers. I am devoted to the delivery of knowledge and the cultivation of skills as an equal partnership. I am passionate about continual professional development for all yoga teachers, and maintaining the highest of standards.  I nurture a passionate interest in the art of teaching, effective pedagogy, and the world of teacher CPD.

I am a dedicated vipassana meditator, and this practice has greatly infused my teaching over the years. Silence is both a key cornerstone of my teaching and self-inquiry work, and a tool I use to train excellent and highly-skilled teacher-practitioners.My approach to teaching is simple, and is best captured in the following quote:

"Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away".

(Antoine de Saint-Exupery)

Grace is an excellent yoga educator. Having attended her Yin yoga training and classes I have learned so much from her in depth knowledge of yoga anatomy and physiology. She has launched a Podcast, Fallen from Grace: Uncomfortable conversations which is a great listen to challenge aspects of life as a yogi. Her level of professionalism, attention to detail and genuine interest in her students and fellow yogis is great encouragement to all. Highly recommend any of her yoga offerings.
