Can you organise a DBS check?

No, unfortunately we are unable to organise a DBS check. Your training provider or employer will normally advise on the best source but you can find more information below.

England and Wales

Known as DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service). 

There are two ways to get a DBS check:

  1. From an employer who will supply the forms to complete.
  2. If self-employed, you can use an 'umbrella body' to make the application.

Scotland 

Known as Disclosure. Those working with children or vulnerable adults apply to join the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme.

There are two ways to join PVG 

  1. From an employer who will supply forms to complete.
  2. If self-employed, you can apply here.

Northern Ireland 

Known as Disclosure. Those working with children or vulnerable adults need an enhanced disclosure check.

There are two ways to get this:

  1. Normally you cannot apply for an enhanced check this is requested by an employer.
  2. If you are self-employed, you will need to submit through a registered body/umbrella body. You can use this link for further information.
