This is a refresh and recalibration of everything Yoga Alliance Professionals offers to better support your teaching journey.

Over the past year, we’ve spoken to hundreds of members, reviewed thousands of profiles, and listened to what’s working (and what’s not). The message was clear: you want support that’s real, relevant, and rooted in the reality of teaching yoga today. You also want a space to connect with your peers and see what they’re up to.

So, we made changes. Not to shake things up for the sake of it, but to make your membership more powerful, your tools more practical, and your path forward clearer.

Whether you're just starting out, returning from a break, or running a full-time yoga business, these updates are here to support your next step on the Growth Path. From passion to profession.

Live CV & Opportunities Score

Your profile has been re-imagined, welcome to the Live CV. A dedicated space for you to showcase your upcoming events, your availability for partnership, qualifications and so much more. This brings your profile into the modern times with a sleek and welcoming design. 

You’ll notice your opportunities score on the left, which rewards your dedication by prioritising your listings.

You get a point for each of the following:

• Recently Active
• CPD Recently Complete
• Specialty Unlocked
• Brand Profile Unlocked
• Available To Cover
• Insurance Active
• Growth Journey Recently Completed
• Event Active
• Open To Partnership
• Received A Review Recently

Also: Professional members will now automatically upgrade to the relevant experience level! Upgrade fees are no longer required. 

Growth Journeys

These are roadmaps that will guide you through your challenges and help you see the light at the end of the tunnel! Each journey is broken down into small, categorised, tasks. They are simple to follow and actionable! 

The growth journeys will provide you with more chances to teach, more ways to connect and more clarity on building a sustainable career.

Cover Class Requests

A major new tool available to professional members! You can request someone cover your class, either one time or for a set period of time.

Just input the details, and our system will automatically find teachers that fit your criteria and send them the cover request. You always get the final say on who covers your class, and you can even request someone specifically! 

SMS notifications are sent to the potential teacher matches, as it’s such a priority that your class gets covered.

Job Opportunities

Be open to offering and receiving opportunities! In your Live CV you can say if you are open to collaboration on a course, if you’re hiring, if you’re looking for work and if you’re open to travelling. 

All of these are searchable and display on your profile, making you easily identifiable to potential employers and partners!

All Events

The site will have three event types:

Workshops

These are free for professional members of all levels! You can add workshops to your Live CV and they will display in search listings too. 

Development Training

These events can be taught by Experienced and Senior Teachers. Must have the brand unlock to add your syllabus for approval. These can be a specialist topic, so long as the teacher has unlocked the specialty topic. 

Foundation Training

These events can be taught by Senior Teachers. Must have the brand membership tier to add your syllabus for approval. These can be a specialist topic, so long as the teacher has unlocked the specialty topic.

Community Engagement

It’s now even easier to connect with your peers! You can follow each other, congratulate on recent activities, and private message!

The community is the core of everything on the new platform. Having a space to connect and check in with one another in what can be a very lonely profession was crucial for us.

New Membership Tiers

We have reviewed the structure of our memberships and they are now the following:

• Professional Teacher
  • Personal Brand Add-On
• Business (coming soon)

Free Member

This is for practitioners, trainees, graduates and yoga teachers who want to be part of The Yoga Teacher Revolution. They can follow, congratulate and engage with professional teachers. They can also access limited challenges to help them get to professional teacher level. 

Professional Teacher

For yoga teachers who are looking to engage, connect and grow their yoga offerings! They can request cover classes, add their events, have a LiveCV and partner with fellow teachers. The membership also helps navigate pain points and challenges with the growth journeys.

Personal Brand Add-On

Perfect for the professional yoga teachers who have built up a personal brand, the ideal solution to preventing burnout and allows you to scale. This add-on allows you to upload syllabi (for an additional fee). They also have the ability to list another teacher under the brand and set them as the teacher on events.

Impact On You

At Yoga Pros, we have done everything we can to minimise any negative impact on you. These updates should only add to your experience on the platform in a positive way. 

We have done lots of work on our end to make sure that your information is migrated over as seamlessly as possible. There will be some items that are not reflected on the new system, due to them not being available any more (e.g. biography, retreats).

2. Update Your Live CV and add events
   Make any changes that you need to make and make sure all your events are up! If you need cover soon, request it!
3. Start A Growth Journey
   Have a browse of the journeys and choose 1-2 to get started

   Click around and play! Connect with other teachers! 

Questions You May Have

What does this mean for my membership and renewal?

You can access everything today at no additional cost! Should any price changes happen, you’ll be informed ahead of your renewal so there’s no surprises. 

I’m a TrainerPro, what happened to my membership tier?

You will automatically be moved to the personal brand or business tier. We have migrated as much as we can for you, so you shouldn’t have to make any changes. The good news is, the personal brand tier allows you to have one profile with one log in! We know this was a big issue for many of you. 

The way we approve syllabi has changed too, so anything currently approved is here to stay! If you need to accredit a new syllabus you will pay a one-time fee. 

Will my insurance be affected? 

No! Your insurance will be the same. We hope to have more insurance options very soon though, so keep your eyes peeled. 

I’m on a career break, what does this mean for me?

Your information will still be passed over to the new system, and it will be put on pause. We’ll honour your career break up until the point of expiry. 

If you wish to extend your career break, then you will follow the new membership pause fees. This will be a monthly payment to keep all of your data stored. 

How much will this be? 

For legacy members, you will not have to pay anything additional for the first year. If your membership price is due to change, we’ll get in touch to let you know ahead of your renewal.
