Sandra is a Hatha yoga teacher in North London. She teaches small group classes at home, one-to-one classes and at a mental health charity and a home for seniors. Her classes are tailored to the group she teaches and she provides as much individual attention as possible (for the group classes). She focuses on alignment teaching in a flowing dynamic style and she aspires in her classes to integrate the body and the mind through the breath. Having done yoga for many years, she became serious about it only when she started practising to recover from an illness (Rheumatoid Arthritis) after the birth of her son. Yoga has helped her regain and maintain her mobility and strength. She thus believes in its therapeutic potential for healing and for bringing wholeness and balance in mind and body. And so she teaches to share this. Initially interested in how yoga can help joint mobility & stability, she is now also interested in how yoga can be helpful to mental health especially trauma, through her work with Room to Heal (www.roomtoheal.org). She trained as a teacher with Yogacampus at the Life Centre, Islington and she is accredited by Yoga Alliance (200 hours). For more information please visit: www.sandrayoga.com.
