Founder of Yoga by the Sea & Back 2 Front Shiatsu

My entry into yoga started over 20 years ago with meditation and breathing techniques (pranayama).  This broadened my knowledge and love for yoga leading me to travel to India, Nepal and Asia to experience many styles, techniques and health benefits that yoga can achieve.

I was drawn more to slow flowing styles of Sivananda, Hatha and Yin, emphasising breathing and awareness with the intention of bringing mind and body back into balance with a combination of strength with gentleness and movement with stillness.  This gives people the space and freedom to explore yoga to a level that suits them.  I believe that yoga in all its forms and styles has something to offer everyone at all levels.

My classes unfold in layers to open the mind, creating balance and stability with alignment and self awareness building up to flowing sequences including pranayama, asanas, mudra, guided relaxation and meditation.  My yoga training started in Kerala at the sivanana Ashram.  After this I moved more into the styles of ashtanga, hatha and vinyasa and gained my YAI - YTT Yoga Alliance International certification in India.  I have taught and hosted yoga holidays and retreats in India, UK, Greece and Turkey with many happy yogis returning for more each year.

Medical issues and contraindications  take priority with all my classes - retreats, yoga can be very beneficial for stress, diabetes, digestion, tension, and sciatica to name a few.
