Overview

I am a yoga and mindfulness practitioner who loves sharing the benefits of these disciplines with other people. I teach vinyasa flow, Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga and kids yoga and mindfulness. The foundations of my classes include intelligently sequenced, articulately cued, safe yoga sequences with variations for all bodies and levels. I also weave pranayama and mindfulness into my classes to emphasise the interconnectedness of mind, body and breath.

I am passionate about mindfulness and meditation and am studying a Masters in Mindfulness Based Courses in Bangor University. I share the learnings of these wonderful practices with students, in particular in Yin yoga classes which involve long held static stretches during which times students can naturally turn their attention inwards and experience mini periods of mindfulness.

My background is not in yoga; indeed I discovered it rather late in life. I am a Big 4 qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in Audit Practice and Corporate Banking. I have three children and took a career break to become a full time mum 10 years ago when my husband and I made a decision to become expats overseas. We lived in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Holland and Kuwait before returning to Scotland early in 2020, just before lock down! I fell in love with yoga and mindfulness on the expat journey and, with time, made the decision to become a yoga teacher. In 2017 did my 200 hour teacher training with Frog Lotus Yoga International in their beautiful Suryalila retreat centre in Southern Spain. This was only the beginning of the journey and i've since specialised in children's yoga & mindfulness and yin yoga teacher training. I attend yoga retreats and silent retreats and recently completed an 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction programme which cemented my desire to formally train in Mindfulness Based techniques and interventions.

I look forward to sharing my experience and insights with you.
