This serenely stunning retreat is set in the shade of a coconut grove on the pristine shores of the Arabian sea, Northern Kerala.
The bare foot, yet luxury experience at Neeleshwar Hermitage is a tranquil hideaway, where Vedic well-being meets boutique-chic to create complete relaxation for the body and soul.
Harmonise your being by the waves of the ocean on the golden sands; relax by the infinity pool, listening to the sounds of the sea; walk along the endless beach, as sea birds fly over the ocean horizon.
The palm-roofed Garden Cottages are of traditional Keralan design, surrounded by lush gardens of palm trees, hibiscus and frangipani flowers. The secluded verandahs catch the sea breeze and far reaching views of the deserted golden coastline.
On waking up in this stunning location, we will do an energising, yang Vinyasa Flow practice, blissfully infused with the grace of asana, flowing through breath towards a soft, meditative mind. Moving through beautiful sequencing and creative namaskars, we will explore elemental vinyasa: the Earth, the ocean, the sun, the sky, the stars, the universe within. These soulful practices create a sense of connection, openness and vibrancy, leaving you feeling lovingly energised, uplifted and alive. In the afternoons, we will surrender to a more restorative, yin practice, allowing your being to rest, renew and rejuvenate. Ayurvedic massage, treatments and consultations will also be available for you to experience at the Priya Spa throughout your stay.
The delicious vegetarian cuisine offers authentic specialities, flavoured with spices from Kerala’s Malabar Hills. Feel the sand between your toes at the beachside restaurant, as the golden globe of the sun sets into ocean horizon.
Choose to while away the afternoon relaxing in a garden hammock or by the infinity pool; walk along the stunning Malabar beach or indulge in a relaxing Ayurvedic massage. Each afternoon there is a culinary class for you learn unique cooking skills to take home. If you are feeling more introspective, the Saraswati library has a wide variety of books on Ayurveda, Indian culture and art.
If you wish to experience local culture and surroundings, excursions can be arranged for you to explore ancient temples, Hindu villages untouched by modern life and trekking in the Malabar Hills. There is the opportunity to experience a Theyyam performance, an ancient ritual dance. The retreat bicycles are also available for you to explore the local area.

We will experience a Sunset Cruise on The Lotus Houseboat through the enchanting local backwaters on our last evening together.
