Our weekend, in person yoga teacher training in Sussex has a down to earth approach that encourages you to reflect on the roots of yoga as you learn to teach honestly and fully. The course is spread out over 8 months allowing you time to learn, process and refine your teaching with ongoing support. With a background in education as well as yoga, I have a clear way of helping students to develop their understanding and experience through practical learning, sharing my passion for yoga. I teach with an awareness of the body from a physical perspective and an emotional one, acknowledging that the two are linked and that the practice of yoga goes far beyond the physical.  Throughout the course you are encouraged to explore yoga and all it's facets, finding your own unique teaching style and voice. Along the way, I’m pretty sure you will also grow in confidence, gain a deeper understanding of yoga and of yourself whilst connecting with a lovely bunch of friends who will become your support network and community as you move into the world of teaching! Our course is registered with Yoga Alliance Professionals.

Scholarship places for the course are available to support people who work within the health, community and voluntary sector as well as people who are under-resourced and under-represented in the yoga industry. Please contact me for more details.

This teacher training course focuses on teaching traditional Hatha and Vinyasa Flow yoga whilst also gaining an understanding of the different styles of Yoga including Ashtanga, Restorative and Yin. You will learn how to safely adapt and modify your teaching for specific conditions with an awareness of inclusivity and trauma sensitivity, which I feel is fundamental when teaching anyone yoga. You will be encouraged to develop your own teaching voice, learning how to create classes that are  focused, balanced and authentic.

The course covers the following areas of study:
