Are you interested in finding out more about yoga? Would you like to know the correct alignment of asanas? Delve into 2500 years of yoga philosophy? Learn about Anatomy & Physiology and how it relates to movement? Deepen your personal practice, as well as become a yoga teacher? If so join us for our 200hrs yoga teacher training - we have a super stellar faculty of expert teachers and scholars.

The course will start this September and will take place over a year and a half, meeting monthly on Saturday afternoons and Sundays. It will offer 200 contact hours; 5 A&P modules with experienced osteopaths Chris Swain and Tim Goullet; an in depth yoga philosophy programme, specialised pregnancy, restorative and meditation modules with Lon Gibbons, Sophia Kouame and Catherine Turner respectively, as well as 130 hours of Hatha and Vinyasa with Gaia Persico and guest teachers.

The course will allow you to develop anatomical knowledge and correct alignment of asanas, so that you will be able to modify, teach and reach all different ability students. Understand sequencing, so that a class plan with variations for injuries and options for beginners to more experienced practitioners, can be coherently formulated. Present a class that is accessible, safe, whilst at the same time understanding which students would benefit from a deeper challenge or more restorative asanas.

The philosophy programme will give you a grounding of key texts and concepts of yoga to deepen your teaching, thus preparing classes rooted into the wisdom and life-changing yoga philosophical practices. Throughout the course you will additionally cover pregnancy modifications, restorative options, how to instruct pranayama and lead meditation, gain an understanding of bandhas, kriyas and chakras. You will also develop tools in how to have a sustainable practice, long lasting care for yourself and your students, as well as the less esoteric reality of how to make a living as a yoga teacher.
