Introduction to Yoga Therapy & Conducting One on Ones
Regular yoga practice can often be described as ‘therapeutic’ in the sense that you feel calmer, energised, stronger as a result of practice. These and many more beneficial effects lead to a feeling of well being that could well be factor in people dealing with a wide variety of health concerns and conditions.
Separate to this general well being experienced through the practice is Yoga Therapy as defined above. In this instance the yoga therapist works with the patient to address the specific needs of the person. All aspects of the person, their condition plus their hopes and fears are taken into account and the treatment can include asana, pranayama, meditation, restorative practice, mantra and mudra.
This is an introduction to Yoga Therapy for those who wish to have a deeper insight into how the body moves and how dysfunctions in functional movement can be helped in regular yoga class. We will also cover factors to consider when
