Yoga nidra, or yogic sleep, is a state of sleep with a fine thread of awareness. It is a state where you can experience the subtle murmurings of your deeper consciousness, and affect changes on a profound level to realise your fullest potential in life. Yoga nidra is often done as a relaxation technique, and it is very relaxing. Many people fall asleep when they are practising yoba nidra, and that's great! However, the objective of yoga nidra is to expand conscoiusness and realise your greatest awareness. This course explains the science behind yoga nidra, facilitates an exploration of your own inner journey with yoga nidra, and gives you the tools to share this life-affirming, healing practice with others. Yoga teachers, health professionals in related fields and serious practitioners of yoga are welcome to attend this course.
You will learn to:
understand the basic neuroscience behind yoga nidra
orientate yourself within the component parts of a yoga nidra practice
become skilled in designing and delivering yoga nidras of varying lengths and themes
create a safe, trauma-aware space for practitioners
