I can not stress enough, this course is for everybody. You do not have to be a Yoga teacher or want to be one to attend. You need only a curiosity and a willingness to explore, whilst deepening your own understanding of how you can use The Five Elements system to view and understand all aspects of your life. This is a small group training programme to allow for a level of intimacy rarely found in other courses.

The Five Movements Yin Yoga Teacher Training programme is a 50 Hour Yoga Alliance Professionals UK approved course beginning Friday 13th May. We study for four consecutive days, taking Tuesday and Wednesday off to rest and absorb the content up to this point. Returning Thursday, we continue study through to Saturday 21st May.

On day one we explore the foundations of The Five Element system by returning to The One and The Dao. The One reveals the Two and Yin Yang theory which in itself emphasises a third quality, Qi. During this day, we will familiarise ourselves with the seven Archetypal Yin Yoga Asana and the intention behind those individual patterns. As we delve the physical movements using Yin Yang theory, we will explore these forms from two seemingly different viewpoints. From this foundation we are able to investigate over the following five days, each of the Five Elements or phases within the whole process.

Days two to six breakdown each element, Archetypal posture that we can associate with the phase and how Qi and the mind are moving at this stage. One day, one part at a time and the three pronged approach regarding body, mind and spirit, provides a canvas in which to view the individual as a whole rather than separate parts moving within one envelope much like the Five Element system is orientating us towards - The One.

Day seven, we bring it all back into the whole whilst reviewing everything we have covered ensuring the seeds of this training are ready to flourish in your own life.

In order to meet the 50 hours over our seven days together, each day will require seven hours of study with four of these days having an additional 15 minutes. We meet for first practice at 8.30am, there are two tea breaks during the day, lunch is a 75-90 minute rest and we close the day by 5.30pm.

Clapham common is nearby for those wanting to get some space and air. The beautiful Shambhala Centre has a kitchen where you are able to prepare food with a fridge and hob. There is a small courtyard and inside seating area to relax in. I will provide various teas, lemons, ginger, biscuits, nuts and a fruit bowl.
