TRAUMA AMD BEING SAFELY EMBODIED FOR YOGA TEACHERS - 4hr CPD training online

Teaching yoga is different from doing coaching or facilitating trainings. I know because I also do the other two. Our relationship with our students when we teach yoga can be much more intimate.

This one thing can mean that your students might share with your stuff they would not normally share with strangers.

This also might lead to certain expectations and behaviours that might be challenging to manage.

In our training we will discuss how to see the signs of trauma within the context of teaching yoga and how to support your students in practical ways.

Because embodiment and being with the body might be a welcome thing for many of us but somebody with trauma it can be a trigger and bring up many different fears and reactions.

The key is to help your students to learn ways to be safely embodied.

Come and join me for this practical workshop.
Max number of participants is 25 only to allow us to have a safe space to explore and learn.

WHO AM I TO TEACH YOU ABOUT TRAUMA WORK

I feel passionate about sharing this knowledge because I know how much of a difference it makes to our confidence and quality of teaching. I’ve been practicing yoga for over 25 years, and teaching mindfulness yoga and meditation for 11 years. I also worked with trauma for over 20 years including 16 years front- line in Social Care with trauma, crisis intervention, mental health, addiction, DV, and child protection issues in various settings in London and Kent, where I later trained and supervised workers to engage and support vulnerable individuals and families.

Over last two decades I trained in various modalities including Mindfulness yoga and meditation, Mindfulness and Yoga for Pain, Slow Embodied yoga, Yin/Insight yoga, Psychology and Person-Centred Counselling, Master NLP and NLP for Health and Wellbeing, Life and Wellness Coaching, breathwork, Energy Healing and Reiki Master, Somatics, embodiment practices, bodywork and Thai Yoga Massage.

I bring all of that experience into my work with clients, creating integrative approach, a unique mix of bio-psycho-social & spiritual approach that is client-led, compassionate and trauma aware.

I am registered Senior Yoga Teacher and Trainer with Yoga Alliance Professionals UK, with over 5000 hours logged in teaching time, and Founder of Golden Mandala Ltd School of Yoga.
