Alexa Kho-Hinkson is the Founder of Ambika Yoga and Senior Yoga Teacher based in London, UK. She will be teaching this next series of Day-Long Yoga Therapy Professional Workshops at the new Down To Earth studio located in Islington, North London this Autumn 2019.
Both Workshops will give you greater insight into how teaching Yoga Therapy for varying health issues can make you a more skilled and sensitive Yoga Teacher. Whetheryou are newly quali ed or have been teaching for a number of years, you will learn newtechniques that will develop your teaching and apply hands-on practical principles to assist your students, and clients.
The first November Workshop will cover Yoga Therapy for Limited Mobility, whethersuffering from Arthritis, the Elderly or from Injuries, and we will look closely at sequencing therapeutic yoga classes for students affected by these issues. The December Workshop will then follow with how to apply specific energetic chakra work for those with Limited Mobility, and teach you more about what and how the Chakra System works, from a Yoga Therapy perspective.
Through practice of these techniques you will learn how to assist your students into a greater place of freedom and mobility not just on the mat, but also off the mat in theirday-to-day lives, restoring con dence and over-all balance to their health and well-being.Alexa will teach an initial practice to the whole group and after the lunch break we will then look at the theory work as a group and in pairs, to then apply what you learn theoreticallyin a practical way. Six CPD hours will be given for each Day-Long Workshop from Yoga Alliance Professionals.
