What are these classes?
Yin Yoga is known as the Quiet Practice or the Practice of Quiet Power. It is a blend of modern meridian theory, floor poses held in quiet tranquility, and contemplative techniques of Heartfulness, mindfulness, Meditation and Healing Breathwork.
The practice addresses every level of our being: physical emotional, energetic, and spiritual. Within the context of Eastern Medicine “the unimpeded flow of chi restores balance in the psycho/ emotional energy and spiritual bodies. The long held quiet Yin Postures soften and release the connective tissue of the body and primarily target the connective tissue which have become tight and restricted through injuries, repetitive stress, poor postural habits, and even emotional trauma. The connective tissue (Facial layers) house the meridian system known to many of us through acupuncture. The contemplative practice of Breath work, Sankalpa (Intention), & meditation within poses helps to cultivate an internal atmosphere of inquiry, receptivity and compassion, leading to a state of tranquility. Movement will prepare the body, mind, and spirit to drop into a deep relaxed state to receive the Healing benefits of Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep)
These classes are warm and nurturing, and accomodate all levels.

The group is kept small, so through this journey you feel held and supported.
