Overview

Kate’s yoga sessions are deeply healing and therapeutic, including the use of mantras, massage, reiki, meditation, and cacao. Kate will guide you through a gentle yogasana practice, with lots of hands-on assists to guide your body into releasing tension. The sequence will feel stable and comfortable at all times. The aim of these sessions is not to achieve some idealised version of a pose, but by focussing on the breath and the internal awareness of the posture, to take you further into your being and strengthen your relationship with your inner self to achieve a state of zen and calm.

Kate has had a personal practice for 30 years, and has followed Sivananda, Kundalini and Bikram methods in that time. She has newly completed her 200 hr YTT in London with Stewart Gilchrist, one of the UK's leading yoga teachers. Stewart’s emphasis is anchored in the ancient traditions of yoga, bringing to life the timeless wisdom of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras in a uniquely contemporary way. She also trains with Jared McCann. She is currently teaching private classes in central London and over Zoom, as well as holding Cacao Ceremonies which incorporate yoga and guided meditation as a way of getting deeper into the cacao medicine.

    I am currently a student of Kate Magic who has been teaching me yoga on a weekly basis since September 2019. I do a one on one class with her where she focuses on the the breath, philosophy, meditation and spirituality behind yoga as well teaching the practical application of each pose. For these reasons I highly recommend her classes which has not only built up my core strength but has also given me a positive attitude to life wether I am on and off the mat.

    I've been having one to one yoga with Kate for 2 months now and I can already see and feel the change in my yoga practice. Kate's practices integrate body, breathing, conscious movements and meditative awareness in a way that resonate with me and my body, I feel she has an intuition like no other yoga teacher I have used before. I feel safe to push my body further with her as I have full comfort knowing she's there behind me watching my every move. Kate's energy and encouragement can only make you want to get more out of your yoga practice. I highly recommend her.
