Welcome!
I'm a qualified teacher in vinyasa flow, graduating with Stretch in Hackney. I have always been active, a gymnast back in the days of my youth and I've been a runner for quite a few years. I started to pick up niggle after niggle and a friend of mine introduced me to yoga and well, what can I say!!! It took me back to my gymnastic days of warm flexible muscles and the mind/body connection is one of the best things I have found in the modern world. I fell totally in love with the calm, safe environment and knew straight away, learning to teach was my calling
After a long time thinking "do I, don't I" I signed up for a 3 month YTT, which is one of the best things I've done in my life. The people on the course, who are now all very good friends, and Carl and Calli that run the YTT, are all inspirational to say the least. I can share my teaching to the full, in what I truly believe to be a life changing experience for anyone that drops onto their mat.
I have recently taken a 50 hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training course with Bernie Clark and Diana Batts. This is an area of yoga that really interests me as I have been used to exercising and strenghtening muscles throughout my life and Yin Yoga concentrates on the fascia, bones, joint capsules, ligaments to stretch (creep) and become stronger. There are 3 principles, find your edge, remain still and hold for time. This brings in plenty of time to become mindful and bring meditation into this practice. I'm really looking forward to teaching another beneficial style of yoga
Namaste!
