y name is Ruth Murray and I started Energise Yoga in 2019, following the completion of my 200 hour yoga teacher training. I have practiced yoga from my teenage years, and have always had a love for movement, physical exercise and mindfulness.
My understanding of movement started from a young age, with ballet dancing and I qualified as a ballet teacher aged 18. As my interest developed further, I studied Physiotherapy at the University Of Birmingham and currently work as a Physiotherapist in the NHS.
This understanding of anatomy allowed my yoga practice to develop further and I realised the importance of maintaining healthy joint alignment during yoga. This allowed my love of yoga, but in particular for Core strength Vinyasa Yoga, to flourish!
I love combining my understanding of the human body and anatomy with teaching this fluid, free style of yoga.
I would love to share this style of yoga with you, and look forward to seeing you in class! See my website www.energiseyoga.co.uk or get in touch!
