Overview

I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training with Bristol City Yoga in 2012 and am just about to complete a further 300 hours of training. Specialised trainings include Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga of the Subtle Body and most recently Pregnancy Yoga. Yoga has played a big part in my life since 2005 and has helped me process and understand grief, illness, injury, anxiety as well as feeling empowered through pregnancy and keeping me well and rested through the earlier days of motherhood.

I have been lucky enough to study with some fantastic teachers in Europe and Canada - Laura Gilmore, Janine Hurley, Mel Cooper, Eddie Modestini, Tina Pashumati James, Tias Little and Mollie McCelland Morris to name a few. Over time my teaching offering has evolved and become more refined. I am passionate about yoga as a sustainable practice, tailored so support students own health and wellbeing. When joining me at class you can expect:

  • A gentle teaching approach with a focus on creating a nourishing way to move and breathe
  • An honouring of the roots of Yoga philosophy, whilst appropriating them with our modern way of living
  • An invitation to explore free movement to ensure each student has the opportunity to connect with their own body
  • An offering of hands on assists - never given without permission
  • The use of props to ensure that maximum comfort can be found 
  • Time to rest and restore
