Having watched my mom stand on her head in the 1970's and still watching her now as a vibrant and active 91 yr old, it was inevitable that I would venture in to Yoga, specifically Hatha yoga, at some point in my own life.
As it happens, finding myself divorced with 2 young children in my early 30's, I started attending local yoga sessions in a school hall (around 20 years ago) and almost immediately found a connection between my mat and my own 'peace'.
Motherhood and full time work has been my anchor for the last 20 years but yoga has been my solace; the place where I can both lose and find my whole self.
Watching and being inspired by my young local teacher and feeling the joy of sharing the physical and mental benefits of yoga with others, is what really lead me to becoming a teacher.
I've recently trained with Sandstone Yoga and what a joyous, albeit intense journey it’s been.
Hard physically but so rewarding mentally and with an amazing group of women; all of us different but at the same time - very similar and now friends for life.
I just can't wait to share the joy of yoga both from a practical, mental and spiritual sense. I don't quite know where this path will lead me but I know that I can't wait to share it with others.
