Overview

After graduating with Frog Lotus Yoga in Spain in 2021, I began teaching yoga in my local area at a range of gyms and fitness centres, delivering vinyasa flow classes. As a meditator of many years, I decided to train as a mediation teacher and completed the DRU Yoga Meditation Teaching Diploma in 2023. Alongside meditation, I have also completed 500hrs advanced yoga teacher training with LKY Yoga, which has included Yin Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Moonlogy and Mythology, Ayurveda, Restorative Yoga, Tantra Yoga and Advanced anatomy with David Keil.

I enjoy sequencing classes taking inspiration from the lunar cycle, seasons and solar festivals and incorporating pranayama, vinyasa, yin and restorative phases to suit the participants in the class. I am fascinated by Indian, Chinese and Japanese philosophy and practices and regularly participate in qi gong inspired classes; an area of practice I hope to explore further in the future.

In Vedic tradition, Soma is the name often given to the God of the Moon, which inspires many of the sequences in a Soma Yoga class. Soma is also thought to be an elixir of life, granting immortality. Although Soma Yoga cannot offer such impressive benefits, it does offer the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga to everyone regardless of age, current health and yoga experience. Soma yoga was created to share the gift of yoga and wellbeing for life.
