I came to yoga in my early twenties, I actually missed a high intensity class at my gym, whilst at university and the next class on was yoga.
I loved it. The movement, breath work and the relaxation at the end was something I had never experienced, a sense of calm from within.
Over the next few years I tried quite a few different yoga styles. I found I really enjoy vinyasa and yin yoga. They are my personal go to practices.
I have recently so come to ashtanga yoga and it is a wonderful practice.
After having my son I decided I wanted to leave my career as a dental therapist/hygienist. I had for some time wanted to learn more about yoga and maybe try my teacher training. It was one of the best decisions I made.
I have this march (2020) just completely my 200hr yoga teacher training with Jo Lockhart of Yogajo's in Glasgow. The course was rigorous but I loved everything about it and the people I met. It was one of my best experiences in my life.
I live in the Highlands and hope bring yoga to my local communities.
