Overview

As General Practitioner of over 20years and former GP Trainer, Yoga has been an essential part of my life for over 25 years. The benefits of regular practice are literally life changing. 

Teaching Yoga with a high level of presence and compassion in a way that allows students to develop in a safe environment is what I am aiming for in a class and one-to-one setting. 

Studying with my teachers over a long period of time (and ongoing) I have experienced a wide range of yoga styles including hatha yoga, yin yoga, vinyasa flow/dynamic yoga and ashtanga vinyasa yoga which are influencing my teaching style. 

Yoga Asana (poses) - what started with a small yoga book and weekly classes, has been my daily practice now for 12 years.

Pranayama has been part of my daily practice for several years.

Meditation has been the most recent add on with a regular practice for 2 years.

Yoga asana (yoga poses), Pranayama (yogic breathing) and Meditation are powerful tools for improving self-awareness and self-regulation to lead a more conscious and fulfilled life.

Given my teaching experience and medical background I strongly believe that Yoga can be practiced by everyone, regardless of age, gender or overall fitness /health status- and would provide benefits to those practising (with the evidence base of modern science growing quickly).
