Overview

Yoga came into my life about 8 years ago, as an avid runner my first introduction to yoga was as a way to include stretching into my exercise regime and as a running injury-prevention practice.

I have always loved all forms of physical exercise and from childhood enjoyed gymnastics, highland dancing and running. Yoga fulfilled the physical expectations I had from the practice but also introduced me to the emotional, mental and spiritual benefits associated with it.

I am a Nurse Practitioner and have a passion for increasing peoples awareness of their health and how they can maximise their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. So after practicing Yoga for many years I felt I wanted to learn more about it and also to be able to share the wonderful practice with others.

 After researching various schools, I started my Yoga teacher training with Jo Lockhart at Yoga Jos studio in Milngavie in 2016.  I love practicing with Jo and through her teaching I have learned so much from her knowledge and many years of experience.

I enjoy using the practice of yoga to calm my mind and thoughts as well as strengthening my body and breath and feel that yoga has helped me find me!

I enjoy teaching sequences that are calming and restorative as well as more powerful classes that fire up the body and senses. Classes specifically for runners and for those enjoying other sports are delivered focusing on breath work and linking movements to help prevent injury and improve efficiency .
