Overview

Yin Yoga and Myofascial Release pair together hand in glove.

Combining  therapeutic Myofascial Release and Yin Yoga sessions + Hatha Yoga classes and short courses on inversions and backbends,  aim to help students find mental, spiritual  and physical balance, energy and deep relaxation.

The Myofascial Release (MFR) gives clients time to unwind, reset and ease pain. Relevant personalised yoga practices support the 1-1 session and help clients to maintain benefits from their MFR sessions. 

The Yoga classes mindfully develop focus and concentration through aligned posture, utilising breath to build a bridge from posture to meditation, (live and recorded zoom at the moment).

 I teach Yin Yoga, Hatha yoga and Yoga Nidra, and offer small private, corporate and  1-1 sessions.

I discovered and fell in love with yoga as a teenager; my first teacher was an inspirational Iyengar Yoga teacher who helped me form a dedicated practice. Since then I’ve maintained a regular practice to support energy in my life whilst being a parent, a teacher and to cope with the everyday stresses and strains of modern life that we all have.

    Julias 5week course ‘working towards handstands’ really boosted my confidence and enabled me to feel the whole body benefits from inversions. As a teacher she has such a breadth of experience and her support and guidance comes from this wealth of knowledge. She is also a very personable and thoughtful yoga teacher and myofascial practitioner. It has always been beneficial to my yoga practice to receive the individualised support and the hands on adjustments she is able to offer in her smaller classes. I felt encouraged to explore inversions safely as a maturer student and was surprised with my strength and ability as a result of this course. I would highly recommend Julias yoga and workshops.

    Julia has a life time of experience of all yoga practices, and is deeply knowledgable. She is very kind and seems to instinctively know what I need from my weekly class. I have learnt that yoga is a vast field of resource and support for life, that it is joyous, challenging, surprising and I always feel fantastic after her lesson. From being a complete beginner, Julia has guided me safely towards a more advanced practice and more challenging postures. I can't recommend her one-to-one classes highly enough, as they have also helped me through a very difficult time of my life. Her myofascial release massage is a wonderful way to ease painful joints and muscles, and has helped my knees and hamstrings recover from running injuries - again I cannot recommend this highly enough - I have found it transformative. I am very grateful to have found Julia, and for everything she continues to teach me.

    At the first class, Julia made me feel very welcome. I looked forwards to going to every class of the 5 week course. Julia gradually introduced more difficult movements and exercises and by week 4, I exceeded my own expectations and was able to do a handstand in a doorway! I would happily attend this course if it offered again.

    Julie did a lovely restorative Yoga session. I particularly value her sharing of her knowledge and easy practises to do as part of everyday life that is both grounding and engaging. Having an understanding of the interconnectedness of body systems makes a huge difference in my motivation and can see the positive changes. Her voice and practise is calming and give confidence

    Julia has facilitated our online employee wellbeing yoga classes for over six months. The sessions focus on stretching and loosening up regularly for desk and homebased staff and have a great mix of the yoga practice and the science of movement. Feedback has been extremely positive and staff say the sessions are relaxing, well paced and that Julia's ability to give instruction and guidance over the screen is exceptional. We are looking at welcoming Julia back for more sessions soon.
