I first came to yoga in 2009 after tearing my calf muscle whilst training for my first 10K road race. Irritable and frustrated I read an article on yoga stretches whilst incapacitated. I practised simple lengthening and strengthening poses and regained my mobility within a few weeks. By this time I was ‘hooked’ and continued to expand my knowledge via classes, books & workshops practising sun salutations on my non-running days.
My own yoga practice continued to grow, influenced by Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha & Kundalini and my truly magical experience in 2011 practising with renowned teacher Shiva Rea in London. I went on to train with Aman D’Ambrosio at Path4life in Milton Keynes and gained my accreditation as a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance UK and have never looked back.
I teach Hatha/Vinyasa/Kundalini classes aiming at beginners and mixed abilities, combining all the well known yoga poses of Hatha fused with energic Vinyasa flows & the magic of Kundalini kriyas (sets). I combine the pose with the breath releasing the natural energy within us. You will leave my class feeling a stronger, more focused and content you. I strongly emphasise that yoga is non competitive and we are not all built the same thus giving us differing ranges of movement so I must stress that you only stretch to your own ability and rest in child's pose at any point.
