Overview

My Yoga gently combines elements of the meditative Yin and Restorative styles with the flow and synchronising breath movements of a very soft Ashtanga - Vinyasa flow as well as, the correct execution of Iyengar.

I also incorporate Chair Yoga as well as chair based Face Yoga.

As a young child I had the opportunity to encounter Yoga and practiced it ever since. And I had the fortune to be taught by the pioneers of Children’s Yoga in Germany, Friedrich and Gerhild Euler. As a teenager I visited seminars and advanced training courses with the Professional association of Yoga teachers Germany (BDY) and other lecturers of varying Yoga techniques and styles in Germany and England and started my Yoga teacher training at the age of 16. I expanded my knowledge and practice of various styles of Yoga over the following years e.g. Sivananda, Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow, Iyengar, Kundalini, Yoga Nidra. Eventually I found my individual Yoga style, mainly a gentle combination of Ashtanga - Vinyasa Flow and Iyengar Yoga, which I carry on practising.

I completed my training as a Yoga teacher with Nele Schuy in Frankfurt a.M. at Yoga Center Nele Schuy (YCNS) in 2005 and taught ever since.

Through Yoga and my trips to India I discovered various meditation techniques.  And through ReConSat I learned a modern form of meditation, the Holistic Awareness Method Centering.

Because I experienced the benefits of Yoga as a child myself, I continued studying Yoga with Children with Thomas Bannenberg in Heidelberg, Germany, and started teaching in schools and Yoga studios.

For me Yoga is not about achieving the perfect yoga pose, it’s about how you perceive your body while moving and being aware of it’s boundaries. One often oversteps one’s own boundaries to achieve the perfect Asana, like in pictures.

To be able to feel one’s own boundaries and to enjoy the personal encounter with oneself, is a conscious choice that takes time to acquire.
