Overview

Happy Little Yogi was born in 2009, after qualifying in Kundalini Yoga in 2008 and Childpay yoga in 2009 and Radiant Child yoga in 2010.

My passion is to teach children the techniques that will empower them to self - regulate from a young age by teaching them to breathe, tune into their body and be mindful.

Happy Little Yogi offers classes that are designed especially for children of all ages and ability, introduces them to this ancient philosophy in a fun way through yoga, dance, movement, sound, balance, co-ordination, memory, play, story-telling and relaxation. Her classes and holiday clubs that she runs throughout the year are always hugely popular, with many children returning time and time again, year on year.

My aim is to create healthy, happy, flexible, calm, well balanced children through the medium of playful yoga, supporting the development of the whole child and creating a happy, healthy mind and body. In todays society, it has become second nature to reach out and find happiness outside of us, through various different mediums, but Happy Little Yogi brings it back to finding happiness within.

Divine Yoga is the adult side of my business and my message is that it is never to late to start a yoga or meditation practice. I found Kundalini Yoga back in 2000 and at the time was suffering with Scoliosis (curvature of the spine), Kundalini was the only practice I could do without putting myself back into physio. Month by month and year by year my health improved and my back became stronger and stronger, Kundalini Yoga was transformational for me.

In 2008 I decided to do the teacher training in Kundalini Yoga and again over the years the practice has brought great strength for my body and peace and calm for my mind, linking with the Gurmukhi sound current, which is a beautiful sound vibration, creating deep changes at cellular level if practiced regularly.

If you have never experienced a Kundalini yoga class I highly recommend that you try, it will create amazing changes within you, building on the energy with each pose, leaving you feeling relaxed, cleaned and energised! It really does need to be experienced.

I recently completed the Happy Little Yoga course with Jane online over a few weekends. It was wonderful! Jane's training manual, which I received beforehand was amazing and full of excellent, relevant information with regards to teaching children yoga. The training online was fun and so useful. Taking part as a 'child' as Jane took us through some classes was an invaluable experience. It was great to be able to discuss classes and ask questions and receive really helpful feedback immediately from Jane each day. Before the course I didn't really like teaching children yoga but now I am fully confident with all the games, music, ideas that Jane provided and demonstrated. I have taught my first children's class and it went very well! I highly recommend you do Jane's course if you would like to teach yoga to children. Thank you Jane!
