Overview

I completed my yoga teacher training in Ashtanga Vinyasa and Vinyasa Flow in 2021. Then, in 2022, I completed my further training in restorative yoga.

My yoga journey began after giving birth to my son. Before giving birth, I have always been active and sporty, but postnatal, my body felt weak and I felt disconnected from it. Through practicing yoga my body gradually strengthened at a pace that was right for it; though it took a couple of years for me to finally feel in control of my body again.  

Yoga didn't come easy to me.  With the loss of core muscles and weakened joints from the pregnancy, even the simplest balancing postures were a struggle at first.  So I aim to bring compassion, patience and perseverance to my class - compassion for our bodies if they can't do the things we want them to to, patience with ourselves when frustrated we’re not where we want to be, and perseverance when working towards improving our physical and mental health.  I also want to bring an element of fun to my class - yoga should be enjoyed and not endured!
