Overview

I originally come from a Personal Training and Pilates background.  After completing both level 1 and 2 of Teacher Training with Paddy Hamill at Santosha Yoga Teacher Training studio I started my yoga career.

As a senior yoga instructor I teach various styles from Hatha Yoga to Vinyasa Flow, Meditation & Pranayama from total beginners to intermediate students.

I have taught Yoga in secure units for mental health with the South Eastern Trust (covering Lisburn, Downpatrick and Bangor hospitals) which was both rewarding and humbling, patients were able to follow and enjoy a yoga class which I designed tailored to their needs.  Via the Trust I also taught in Prisons both Maghaberry and Hydebank through their mental health program, again this was a deeply rewarding experience.

I have travelled to Kerala, Mysore and Bali for CPD over the years where I have been taught by fantastic teachers who have helped to develop and grow my teaching skills.

I teach face to face and also via zoom. My clients are all ages and abilities.  I also teach PT and Tabata classes.

Most recently I have completed Reiki Level 11 and teach a weekly Reiki Distance Meditation class via zoom.

I care about all of my clients and aim to deliver high quality classes, with clear instructions in order to maintain safety during zoom classes and live classes.

I have been doing Yolates ( a combination of Yoga and Pilates ) with Ros, for a number of years now. Initially I did it in the group setting, but we moved to Zoom, as a result of Covid restrictions. This proved very popular and Ros has continued teaching in this format. Her expertise is undoubtedly second to none. That coupled with her superb communication skills, makes her the ideal instructor. Ros is particularly good at designing the class around our wants/needs. The classes are by no means mundane or boring, quite the opposite. I think this is partly due to the fact that Ros continues to reinvent herself, while at the same time updating her skills. So do I benefit from all this twisting and stretching?.....definitely. I now find my general fitness and balance has improved greatly, not to mention my overall wellbeing. So for all you, who are sceptical of this type of exercise, I advise you have a chat with Ros.....she comes highly recommended.

I have attended Ros's classes for a number of years. She is a great teacher and always tries 2 make you feel you can do more. Since the pandemic I now attend practice via zoom and she has transferred her teaching skills to that medium. It is not always easy to see a screen but her explanations make it easy to follow her. The classes are varied and it's nice to to do a mix. She is encouraging and her expertise and personality comes through to make the practice enjoyable.

I’ve been attending Rosalyn’s classes for several years, in person pre-pandemic, then over Zoom since the first lockdown. She has been an absolute lifeline over the past two years in particular, keeping me both sane and supple! She’s an outstanding teacher, clear in her instructions and caring and considerate for our more senior age group. She works us hard though, and we’re all the fitter for it. I particularly benefit from her Yogalates class and also Reiki meditation which she introduced me to over the past several months. Ros really looks after body and soul. I recommend her at the highest level and count myself lucky to be her pupil.

I have been practicing yoga with Ros for several years now. Initially I attended her classes in person at the local village community centre but both my wife and I have been attending her online classes since the start of the Covid pandemic. Ros is a caring and considerate teacher who always takes the needs of her students into account. She continues to progress herself in her own yoga practice and personal fitness journey and we feel as students to be fortunate to avail of this. She takes time and care to explain new postures and practices and always gives options for students of different abilities as well as opportunities to challenge oneself for those who feel able. My wife and I have certainly noticed how our own practice has improved over the years and we attribute this to Ros and her excellent teaching. We highly recommend her.
