Overview

I have been teaching regular drop-in classes, beginners’ courses and restorative yoga since 2016 and hold a 500 hour accreditation in Vajrasati yoga.  Discovering Vajrasati yoga in 2013, I found a new fascination in yoga that had been missing from yoga as I knew it to that point.  I fell in love with the more meditative attention that came from being encouraged to practise with self-enquiry by deeply listening and responding.  My interest in yoga philosophy and the ultimate recognition of ourselves as an essential being of nature was also sparked and yoga become part of my daily life and life learning.

I teach different postures (asana) from class to class, often using props, walls and chairs to investigate postures and better inform our understanding of them and teach yogic breathing techniques (pranayama).  With a focus on alignment and movement being breath-led I allow time for a safe, playful exploration of yoga, pointing students to their own experience to gently find more space, lightness and release, offering variations to suit practitioners of all levels.
