Overview

Caring, playful yet precise, Yani found yoga at her workplace during her corporate days in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. What was then an excuse to escape the harsh peak hour traffic eventually turned into a passion over the years. Yani was very keen on breath control technique and learning how to master the breath. Her playful and curious nature have led her to explore and practise different styles of yoga – hot yoga, power yoga, dynamic yoga, rocket yoga and Yin Yoga before she began focusing on Ashtanga Vinyasa, Rocket Yoga and Creative Vinyasa Flow. Yani has been practising yoga for 11 years and her practice has helped her gained strength, flexibility as well as mobility but most importantly it has taught her to practise with awareness and live more mindfully off the mat, hence achieving a more balanced life. She described her asana (the practice of postures) practice as "that ME time when you can 100% be in the NOW" and her experience as awakening, therapeutic and transformative. She believes YOGA is for EVERY BODY! 

Yani teaches Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow, Gentle Yoga and conscious breathing classes. Her yoga classes include breathing exercises (pranayama), practice of postures (asana) and end with relaxation and meditation. She teaches both 1-on-1 (private classes) and group classes. She is passionate about guiding her students and sharing the benefits of yoga to them. Her classes are mixed-levels, suitable for everyone including beginners.

    Yani has strong background of yoga & she explained to me all the different styles & yoga is not just a workout. Yani also explains the meditation part of it.
