My journey began in a gym in Manchester. Having had a taste of yoga in a body balance class it soon became my favourite Les Mills class, I started to feel a deeper connection not only with all the classes i did at the time but the one with myself. I nneded to know why so I soon signed up for the actual yoga class on the gym timetable. This class was taught by a lady and fellow yogi her 60's, she amazed me with her strength, grace and flexibility and without knowing i'd been bitten by the yoga bug and needed to know more. Maureen is incredible and I still practice with her on my tripos back up north. I moved very close to a Bikram Centre and soon became a daily regular there. I loved the challenge of the heat and the detox affect was addictive, however I soon became more inquisitive needed more answers to things that bikram wasn't giving me and another hot studio opened across town. This place taught hot hatha vinyasa yoga and held workshops of all kinds. This is where i met Jivamukti and there i fell completely in love with the entire yoga entity.
Every time i practiced I felt more and more at home within myself and that feeling just keeps growing. My confidence, decision making and self awareness was enriched. A brand new path lay before me.
i just kept on needing to know more which took me on my travels to India and there i decided to go for the TTC in Goa. Not with the intention to teach but to learn and I'm still learning to this day of course. My intention to teach is to awaken in others what was awakened in me, to share my knowledge and experiences.
