Overview

I’ve been teaching Yoga since 2002. I first experienced Yoga at school and became hooked, it makes your body feel light, comfortable, with a sense of wellbeing and calm. Yoga is beneficial to us in so many ways, and if you can breathe, then you can do Yoga, no need to tie yourself in knots! Today medical professionals all over the world are recommending Yoga for a multiple of physical and mental health problems, such as:

  • Stress, Panic, Anxiety, Depression & PTSD
  • Pain, Back Problems, Joints & Muscle Aches
  • Cardiovascular Health, Diabetes, Gut problems & Respiritory Conditions
  • Sleep Issues, Immunity, Chronic Inflammation & Menopause
  • Neuromuscular, Skeletal Health, Ageing & Rehabilitation from Injuries

Yoga is the perfect antidote to our modern lives, it’s a difficult world we live in right now.  It seems that there’s constantly something to worry about, no wonder so many are struggling. Come along and improve your wellbeing in a welcoming and supportive environment,  yoga can have a real impact on your life.  My classes are suitable for adults of any gender, they are accessible, with simple but powerful postures gently building strength & flexibility.  Each class also includes Yoga breathing exercises and relaxations that will restore your youthfulness, balance & equilibrium.

Jacqui is a wonderful teacher> She makes everyone feel welcome and at ease. Every session usually starts with a 'little gem' of knowledge from her wide reading which reminds you that yoga is much more than a physical exercise course. She often prints out little quotes for us to take home. I have been attending yoga classes with a variety of teachers for the last 50 years and I was very lucky to discover Jacqui's Classes about 10 years ago. Every asana is able to be done at some level by people of all ages and ability and Jacqui encourages everyone by frequent reassurance and praise. I particularly like the way she explains the benefits of each asana. She uses the Sanskrit names as well as the English versions for each posture. I love the way Jacqui talks with such enthusiasm and knowledge. The breathing exercises are so useful in everyday life and I use some of these daily. It's so important in this hectic world to be able to slow down your breathing.

I look forward to Wednesday evenings 7:00 to 8:30. Jacqui is such a lovely, calm and patient teacher of yoga, I have been one of her students since 2008. She makes everyone feel so welcome and for me the class is always followed by a good nights sleep.

"Jacqui teaches her classes with great sensitivity and effectiveness. Her classes are always interesting as asana and pranayama practices are combined with yogic philosophy (both ancient and modern). I leave class feeling I can practice yoga with confidence and also feeling much more in touch with myself."
