I first discovered Ashtanga when I was living in Edinburgh in 2004. I continued practicing for the next 2 years until motherhood and becoming self employed put that on the back burner.
I came back to practicing regularly in 2019 and I knew this was something I wanted to devote more time and study to. On the advice of a friend, I enrolled in Meadowlark’s 200hr training in 2020. My main aim was to establish and maintain a regular practice, and I have so for the past 2 years.
I am interested in continuing my studies and plan to do a Yin teacher training and to turn my 200hr certificate to a 300hr or even a 500hr one.
I have enjoyed teaching yoga to children with learning and physical disabilities in my day job as a Pupil Support Assistant. I hope to continue this as well as offer sessions to the students attending mainstream classes in the school.
As well as yoga, I enjoy taking long walks, baking and learning languages. My oldest child has recently started Ashtanga and it’s lovely to share with him something I am passionate about.
