Jo is a teacher & artist who started her yoga journey over 20 years ago. Initially she practised Iyengar which she loved for its precision & alignment, Antenatal, Ashtanga; a perfect moving meditation, Hatha, Yin and, for the last 10 years Vinyasa flow.
Jo is mindful of different days & times in life when you may need different practices. She is passionate about yoga; the connection of breath, mind & body & the benefits that this can bring.
She has a background in inclusive, holistic & transformational education & has been a teacher & educator across all sectors, teaching all ages for 23 years. Her love of teaching & yoga prompted her to undertake a 200Hr Yoga Teacher Training in the jungle of Costa Rica, where monkeys & toucans regularly visited the yoga deck.
She is keen to continually develop both her teaching & own practice & currently teaches Vinyasa flow & Yin classes. She is passionate about creating a space where you can develop your balance, strength & suppleness and find a practice to suit you.
Her favourite part of the class is the connection of breath & flow, and achieving the balance of steadiness (sthira) and ease (sukha).
