I have been doing Yoga for around 17 years now and have been teaching full time daily in South Yorkshire and beyond for 8 years. I completed my RYT200 hours Yoga teacher training with Brian Cooper, Nawajoti and Nichi Greenof Union Yoga, accredited by Yoga Alliance UK. I am also currently enrolled on my RYT500 hours training with Tiffany Cruikshank of Yoga Medicine, USA.
I mainly teach Vinyasa, Hatha and restorative Yoga but also frequently offer Yoga Nidra.
My main aim as a teacher is to help students to have an in depth, safe Yoga practice that suits them personally. Working holistically on the mind and body. From injuries and stiffness to stress and anxiety, there is a Yoga practice to heal all.
I genuinely believe Yoga is for everybody. Therefore i teach a lot of specialised 1-1 and group classes. Some examples of my current classes include Yoga for carers, wheelchair yoga, Yoga for stress and anxiety, Yoga for improved posture and alignment, Yoga for injury and Yoga for alcoholism recovery. These are just examples of how Yoga can be applied to help in so many ways.
I am also an Ayurvedic therapist & have received my qualification from Dr Deepa Apte of Ayurveda Pura, London. An amazing knowledgeable woman who in my opinion offers some of the best training i have every undertaken.
Ayurveda is the sister science to Yoga, it translates as "the science of living" and encompasses everything from natural medicine, diet, life style and treatments.
