Back in 2001, fresh from university and travelling South East Asia, I was a hard working, hard drinking, London-loving young woman who wanted exercise but without the oompf and ego of the gym, or the emphasis on weight loss and body image. I just wanted to be healthy and relaxed! It was in 2001 that I found Yoga; I started with Astanga and was hooked.

I was hungry for knowledge. Yoga was enthralling to me so I wanted to find out more about it and go beyond the benefits that were felt in my immediate physical body. I embarked on a BWY foundation course with Mara Musso. My yoga teachers at this time were Dawn Lintern for Astanga Yoga, Alessandra Pecorella for Vinyasa Flow, and Maria Gandy for Hatha Flow, all based at a lovely little studio in Stoke Newington (Yoga Home).

"More" I said, "give me more yoga!" 

I went on to study my yoga teacher training at Triyoga in London. My teachers included, Joey Miles, Anna Ashby, Alaric Newcombe, Carlos Pomeda, Kate Ellis and Jane Kersel. 

I trained in pregnancy and post natal yoga with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. I've completed CPD workshops with Alessandra Pecorella, Claire Missingham,  Andrew McGonigle and Jenni Rawlings.

Up until 2011 I was Publishing Director of small publishing company but after the birth of my second child and subsequent move to Stroud I chose to leave behind the publishing world and plunged myself into yoga teaching and child rearing! I've been teaching since 2010 and can honestly say I've loved teaching every lesson, even those very first ones when I was so nervous I thought my head might fall off. I love what I do and feel very lucky. I'm immensely thankful to all the students I have taught along the way both in London and Stroud. I'm excited to teach and learn every week, and hope that my teaching and study of yoga stays with me for all my days.
