With 2 young children nearing the end of their time at Junior School I found myself looking for a new (career) direction that I could bring my attention to once they started secondary education. One that would offer both flexible hours to fit around their school life and extra curricular activities, but also one that could sustain my interest for many years to come. 

Having practiced yoga for almost 20 years I had always enjoyed the physical side of yoga but was interested in learning more about its history and role in the modern western world and to gain knowledge about its many benefits.

I decided to enroll in a yoga teacher training course at the studio I regularly attended (then called Bliss) and completed a 200 hours YTT course at the Sandstone Yoga and Pilates Teacher Training Academy in Aldridge, West Midlands. I qualified in May 2017 and have been teaching a variety of classes since.

With a deeper understanding and a renewed love of the ancient practice I decided to build a studio in our back garden where I teach small classes of up to 8 and individuals. I decided to call it Cactus Yoga.

I simply want to show others how great yoga can be !
