Overview

I am an avid believer that yoga can be a catalyst to living a fulfilling life, one that embraces harmony and connection between mind, body and spirit. Yoga helps me get to know myself better; to be more aware of how I am, what I am feeling, what I am wanting and what I am needing on any given day, and thus empowers me to live into my full potential.

Born and raised in Hong Kong within a multicultural family that lives a fusion of East meets West, I’ve been blessed with a natural ease towards spanning spectrums and crossing divides, experimenting with balance and encouraging an ebb and flow in what often seem to be the contradictions we face as humans and in life.

I have twice sustained injuries that rendered me unable to run, dance or play sport for over a year. These experiences dramatically shifted my attitude towards my body, self-care and identity; what it means to be strong, what it means to be weak, what it is to struggle and what it is to have to reinvent oneself, one day at a time. This is what inspired me to become a certified yoga teacher in the summer of 2011 after yoga and pilates assisted me in reclaiming my life following a back injury that had left me in constant pain and a shell of the person I used to be.

In addition to being a former international hockey player for Hong Kong, I am also a professional dancer and choreographer, granting me unique insight and appreciation for the importance in finding harmony between strength and flexibility. Whilst I love nothing more than a dynamic, vibrant, active yoga session, I appreciate and relish the need to compliment it with calming, nurturing stillness.

As a teacher I am dedicated to creating engaging and evocative experiences, so that we may all reclaim our bodies whilst stimulating our minds, awakening our hearts and feeding our souls.
