I thought yoga wasn’t for me after my first class turned out to be an advanced Ashtanga class and I couldn't get my body into any of the positions. My feelings changed during a Deepak Chopra retreat, where beginners classes were provided and I realised yoga was accessible for me and I loved the way I felt afterwards. That was over 20 years ago and now yoga has become part of my life; it’s the only activity I’ve found that can switch off my busy mind and I feel refreshed mentally and physically after spending time on the mat.
I completed the 200 hour Yoga Alliance Professionals accredited Teacher Training Course in June 2016 with Yoga-Yoga Teacher Training in south west London. I believe on-going learning is vital for a teacher and I've taken development classes with Donna Farhi and Mimi Kuo-Deemer.
My teaching is based on traditional Hatha yoga and I provide a variety of private and group classes ranging from a slower beginners class through to a more dynamic vinyasa flow.
In my classes, you'll be supported to deepen your practice safely and in a way that suits your individual body shape, strength and flexibility levels (for anyone who has stood at the front of a class and watched everyone in a posture, it's amazing how different we all look!)
