Overview

** Currently on Maternity Leave** I've been practising yoga for more than 15 years and have experienced first hand the profound effect yoga can have on your mind, body and breath.

For me, it's how yoga begins to filter into daily life that makes it so relevant - a moment to notice your breathing, let your shoulders go and to notice your body. It's not about being able to touch your toes! It’s never about how far you go, how far you feel you should be able to go. It’s about moving without judgement, breathing with focus, practising with kind intention.  If, once in a day, you remember to take a deeper breath, or if you sleep better after a class, you begin to feel the significance and influence of your yoga practice.

I’ve practised both Hatha and Ashtanga yoga. Ashtanga is, for me, a moving meditation, a focus on movement guided by the  breath. With Hatha, the body, mind and breath find time to respond and shift by staying longer in a pose.

I have always practiced with the same teacher, and took my teacher training with her, fundamentally deepening my own practice and knowledge of yoga, its history and philosophy.

I am accredited by the Yoga Alliance as a 200 hour Hatha  yoga teacher and teach in Hove, East Sussex.

I am also qualified as an 85 hour Pre and Post-natal yoga teacher
