I undertook my teacher training at the Bath Academy for teacher training , following a desire to deepen my personal practice and understanding of yoga. I particularly enjoy teaching Hatha, Restorative, Yin,Yoga Nidra and gentle classes. For many years prior to trying yoga, I was of the belief it was for the young , fit, slim and very flexible among us. Having discovered how wrong I was, I hope to teach classes that welcome anyone and everyone and dispel some of the myths surrounding yoga.
I have a professional background in Social Work and Psychology and this, combined with my training in yoga, enables me to offer classes that blend these disciplines and hopefully helps to encourage and support yogi’s who attend my classes. My style is gentle, supportive and encouraging and I particularly like to teach small groups or 121’s so I can give individual attention.
I have recently qualified as a Yoga Therapist and work 1:1 with a range of mental and physical health challenges, including stress, anxiety and depression, PTSD, Parkinson’s, Arthritis, Chronic pain, Back pain, ME/CFS and Long Covid.
