Overview

Hi,  I am Jill. 

Having had a legal career for 20+ years I decided about 10 years ago it was time to change my life. I learned British Sign Language which allowed me the absolute joy of working with Deaf children and adults. I went back to university to study Positive Psychology where I was introduced to the value and importance of mindfulness as a practise and way of life. Then, having practised yoga for years I decided it was time to lear to teach. 

I am a teacher principally of Hatha and Yin Yoga who respects the traditions of each style but also makes classes relevant and fun for those who want to enjoy the practise and joy of yoga to fit in with a modern lifestyle. I am a great advocate of functional yoga as opposed to aesthetic yoga. I meet my students, either of yoga or mindfulness, where they are.

I am accredited as a Menopause Yoga Teacher having trained with Petra Coveney the founder of Menopause Yoga. This is a way of practising yoga designed to empower and support women as they move through the menopause. This form of yoga is a privilege to teach.

I am also a Meditation and Mindfulness teacher having trained with Itai Itzvan the founder of the School of Positive Transformation. I am also qualified to teach mindfulness to young people.
