I started practicing yoga to find some space. My life was busy, chaotic and personally I was massively adrift. I felt unfulfilled. Yoga helped me to find that part of myself that had been buried. It reignited my creativity and I found a purpose. I had to share this gift with other, so I learnt to teach.
I completed my 200hrs YTT with Sally Parker’s Yoga. I have also completed Yoga Therapy and Anxiety training (28hrs) with Heather Mason at The Minded Institute.
I am using my Corporate background to explore how I can help and guide those who have fallen into the same trodden path that I did before I found this wonderful gift.
During 2018 I was fortunate to work alongside Parkinson’s UK to teach a local group. This was both humbling and inspiring in equal measure.
In September 2018 I started working with Pure Gym gaining experience and confidence with large, multi skilled groups.
In 2019 following an opportunity with a friend we opened and held our own space to teach, Root and Flow in Fareham. We wanted to offer a small and intimate space for people to feel safe to express themselves in their own practice, the same way that we had both been able to. I was teaching a blend of Vinyasa and Yin classes, 3 a week. Also very proud of a workshop I developed with a colleague, supporting women with the Menopause. This was really successful and I am really proud of the impact we had.
Due to a move I am now teaching 2 classes a week with a local Osteopathic clinic, teaching primarily Yin. My path to finding Yin yoga was borne out of an injury whilst practising more dynamic styles. I have found a true love and appreciation for this practice.
